M4 introduced a new display engine for the tandem OLED display in the 2024 iPad Pro. Apple also disclosed configurations with up to ten CPU cores; “up to” must remain visible when describing the family.
CURATOR INTERPRETATIONAn integrated display engine is a system-specific design decision. The same family name does not guarantee identical enabled CPU or GPU resources across commercial device configurations.
